Senior Advisor to the CEO at Microsoft and its former Chief Research and Strategy Officer, Craig Mundie is President of Mundie & Associates and counsel to CEOs. With a focus on rapidly evolving information technologies, his expertise spans corporate strategy, techno-geopolitics, cybersecurity, and R&D. During his tenure at Microsoft his responsibilities included oversight of Microsoft Research, intellectual property strategy, technology policy, product incubation, and more. He was also Microsoft’s principal technology-policy liaison to governments worldwide, with a special emphasis on China. Craig served on the President’s National Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee under Presidents Clinton and Obama and was appointed to the Council of Advisors on Science and Technology by President Obama. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations working to guide digital and cyber policy.
