Prof. Vinayak Dravid
Professor Dravid is the Abraham Harris Chaired Professor of Materials Science and Engineering at Northwestern University and founding director of the Northwestern University Atomic and Nanoscale Characterization Center. A world-class electron microscopist, Dravid has developed a wide range of materials important in solving environmental problems, including reusable, highly porous sponges that can selectively remove oil from water for environmental cleanup. He is a Fellow of the Royal Microscopical Society, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the Materials Research Society, the American Physical Society, and many more.
